Monday evening and all day Tuesday, I rested. I really needed it: as soon as I got into my friends home I collapsed. We had a nice time for a couple of days, and I also got some of my NY work done. A time to relax, restock and regroup.
Highlights for Tuesday included baths for me and Bella; washing my dishes in a sink; doing my NY work; driving my friend to his doctors appointment (foot needed attention); chatting; and we also went swimming at the Rec center. The pool was quite nice, well attended by people of all ages, and excellent for cooling down in the heat.
Bella got a long walk and enjoyed meeting my friends and not being in her crate all day. she also enjoyed sleeping in their bed.
I decided not to see Banff or Jasper National Parks. They are out of the way, got, at risk of fire and crowded. And the Alaska Highway has scenery like the Icefields Parkway. Instead I will visit Kluane National Park in Yukon, spend a couple of days hiking there, flightseeing, etc. I think that will be more special and more relaxed
